Nowadays, inside a warehouse at a funfair, a woman known as The Maker craves a wooden horse on a workbench. She senses the presence of a child in the distance. Outside, in a playground, two sisters, Alicia and Anna, are with their father. Distracted by a phone call with the children's mother, he doesn't pay attention to them.
