Paola Revenioti

Paola Revenioti (Greek: Πάολα Ρεβενιώτη, 1958 - 2026), known as Paola, was a Greek trans woman, filmmaker, publisher, artist, activist and pioneering figure of the Greek LGBT movement. From a young age and due to the social exclusion of transgender people from any work, she made a living as a sex worker. Her contribution to the rights of LGBT people in Greece was considered great and she was often remembered as a "legend" of Athenian trans culture. Her films, created primarily in collaboration with the "Paola Team Documentaries" group, focus on life on the margins, the history of the LGBTQ+ community, sex work, and the unseen side of Athens.
