Beautifully shot and paced. The friendship between Andy and Red is the heart of the film. Every rewatch reveals something new.

Heath Ledger's Joker is iconic. This transcends the superhero genre — it's a crime thriller that happens to have Batman in it. The interrogation scene is perfection.

Grand in scale and ambition. The science is mostly sound and the visuals are breathtaking. The "love transcends dimensions" angle is a bit much, but the rest more than compensates.
